MPLA is seeking a thoughtful and motivated Summer Intern to join our studio. As a small, collaborative firm, we immerse our interns in real project work — offering exposure to the full arc of design, from concept development through construction documentation and site visits.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
· Currently pursuing a degree in Landscape Architecture or related field
· Strong interest in single-family residential landscape design
· Curiosity about flora and fauna, ecological systems, and the relationship between built and natural environments
· Interest in construction detailing and the technical execution of exterior spaces
· Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate experience with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
Interns will assist with site analysis, planting research, digital drafting and modeling, preparation of presentation drawings, design development and opportunities to visit construction sites. We’d love an intern with an interest in visual storytelling, including content creation for Instagram and other digital platforms. We are looking for someone organized, observant, and detail-oriented — a student who takes pride in their work and is excited to contribute meaningfully within a close-knit, design-focused team. This is a paid internship with a flexible schedule and potential for future full-time employment after graduation for the right candidate.
