Options were limited for siting the pool and deck on this hillside property. MPLA took advantage of the topography to site a negative-edge swimming pool, framing views of the distant hillsides and adjacent preserved woodland. MPLA also created a driveway and entrance court to accommodate parking for the large family, while maintaining a casual feel to the entrance. Extensive native revegetation and incorporation of local stone helped the new construction fit in with the character of the surrounding fishing village.
